Markaisa Black

Markaisa Black, PhD, possesses extensive experience in biomedical research, with a focus on molecular and developmental biology. During tenure as a Graduate Research Associate at Morehouse School of Medicine, Markaisa investigated transcription factors related to vascular smooth muscle cell function. Prior roles include research internships at Clark Atlanta University and NIDDK/NIH, where emphasis was placed on human prostate cancer and lung disease using genetic mouse models. Markaisa’s industry experience includes a PhD internship at Procter & Gamble in beauty technology.
