Jenna Cohen

Jenna Cohen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles.

In 2007, they began their career at Investec, where they worked as an Associate in Structured Finance and later participated in the Capital Markets Graduate Program.

In 2010, Jenna joined Standard Bank Group, first as a Global Markets Derivative Sales and Structuring professional and subsequently as the Regional Head of Structured Sales for West Africa.

In 2015, they worked at Wild Rose Capital as a Senior Investment Associate, playing a crucial role in the successful acquisition of Eqstra Group Limited by the enX Group. Jenna was responsible for developing and executing the capital markets strategy for the distressed target company.

From 2016 to 2018, Jenna worked as the Head of Strategic Projects at enX Group Limited, where they oversaw various strategic initiatives.

In 2018, they worked as an Independent Consultant, providing strategic finance consulting services to a startup in Canada.

From 2019 to 2020, Jenna worked at Bayline Capital Partners Inc. as a Capital Markets Associate and Chief of Staff, where they supported the firm's partners on capital markets advisory mandates.

Moving on to 2020, they joined Nuula as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, where they played a critical role in filling the gaps caused by a downsizing, specifically supporting the CFO with essential debt capital raising.

In 2021, Jenna joined Veem as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and later assumed the role of Director of Growth Product. In the latter role, they led revenue initiatives and successfully implemented a pricing strategy overhaul, resulting in a 30% increase in average per unit sales price for one product.

Currently, Jenna is working at ProducePay as the Vice President of Financial Product, where they are responsible for overseeing financial product-related functions.

Jenna Cohen completed their formal education at three different institutions. Jenna attended Westville Girls High School from 1997 to 2001. After graduating high school, they enrolled at the University of Cape Town, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Science degree in Finance, General. Jenna attended from 2002 to 2005. Following this, Jenna Cohen furthered their education at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2006, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs.
