Ian Barker-Cortrecht

Technical Project Coordinator at Production Modeling Corporation

Ian Barker-Cortrecht has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to 2022. Ian started as an Intern Designer at PakTech, where they worked on redesigning handles for different bottle sizes and shapes. Ian then moved on to roles such as Production Manager/Board Designer at Roe Racing, where they oversaw production, resawed blanks, and developed advanced downhill boards. At SnowBoard Parts, Ian served as a Production Manager, managing and completing assembly and milling operations for ski and snowboard cores.

From 2013 to 2014, Ian worked as a Woodworker at Phloem Studio/Earthbound Industries, producing high-end cabinets and furniture from shop drawings to final installation. Ian then joined i-TEN Associates in 2015 as a Laser Scan Project Manager, overseeing laser scan projects and developing new workflows for increased accuracy and efficiency.

In 2018, Ian joined WeWork as a Lead Reality Capture Specialist, managing a team of four and providing internal laser scanning services. Ian collaborated with stakeholders, including Construction Project Managers and landlords, to determine project constraints. Ian continued their work in laser scanning at Freelance from 2019 to 2021, conducting 3D scanning and registration services for construction and real estate projects across the West Coast.

In 2021, Ian joined Amazon as a Reality Capture Technical Specialist, implementing large-scale 3D laser scan workflows, conducting training, and ensuring thorough communication and logistical planning throughout the entire United States. Currently, Ian is working as a Technical Project Coordinator at Production Modeling Corporation (PMC) since February 2022.

Ian Barker-Cortrecht started their education at Oregon State University from 2007 to 2009, where they focused on Mechanical Engineering. Ian then transferred to the University of Oregon, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Product Design with a minor in Business from 2009 to 2012.
