Eric Zijlstra

Eric Zijlstra has over 10 years of work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Eric currently serves as the Executive Director Project Development at Profil Germany, where they lead the Project Development team and oversees the planning and preparation of clinical trials. In this role, they provide scientific advice to sponsors, writes and reviews clinical trial protocols, and ensures quality work through standard procedures and documentation tools. Additionally, Eric presents and publishes clinical trial data at scientific conferences and peer-reviewed journals. Prior to their current position, they held roles as Director of Medical Technology and Scientific Study Advisor at Profil Germany. Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Postgraduate Research Scientist at AstraZeneca.

Eric Zijlstra obtained a MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology from 1999 to 2004. Eric later pursued a PhD in Life Sciences at the University of Birmingham from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained certification in ICH-GCP training.
