Matt Garrett has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Matt started their career at Kia Motors as a Russian translator before moving on to work at Brigham Young University Print and Publications as an Offset Press Manager. Matt later joined New Era Magazine as a writer and editor, and also worked as an editor and writer for Life Science Magazine. In 2012, they became the Copywriting Manager at Boostability, where they consulted clients on online marketing strategies and managed a team of copywriters.
In 2014, Matt transitioned to Cargill as a Commodity Merchant, buying and selling grain for export and domestic markets. Matt later served as an MBA intern, analyzing internal trucking and rail logistics.
Matt then entered the agricultural sector, joining Dow AgroSciences as a District Sales Leader and Product Manager for Telone Soil Fumigants. Matt was responsible for coordinating and managing supply chain, shipping, logistics, and marketing. Matt also served as a Commercial Project Manager, focusing on business strategy and implementation.
At Corteva Agriscience, Matt held the position of Portfolio/Product Manager, leading the largest nematicide portfolio in the world. Matt was responsible for sales, marketing, and overall business performance of nematicides, specialty herbicides, and some specialty insecticides for the US market.
Currently, Matt is the Global Product Manager at Profile Products, a leader in horticulture and agriculture markets. In this role, they handle new product launches, business growth, strategy implementation, portfolio management, and profit and loss responsibilities.
Matt Garrett obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Texas A&M University from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2013, where they completed a double major in Russian and Linguistics and a minor in Editing. In November 2012, Matt also obtained a certificate in Russian from ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages) through the OPI and ACTFL program.
