Dan Smith

Dan Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dan started their career as a Design Engineer at GD Engineering in 1996 before moving on to become a Project Engineer at Siemens in 2000. In 2004, they joined Initial PLC as a Senior Sales Executive.

From 2006 to 2012, Dan worked at Rightmove, where they held various positions including Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, and National Account Manager. During their time at Rightmove, they managed a team of Sales Account Managers, developed trading agreements, and negotiated contracts with major clients.

Dan then transitioned to Amazon in 2012 and took on roles such as Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, and Senior Manager of the New Business Team. Their responsibilities at Amazon included managing client relationships, implementing best working practices with agencies, and generating significant revenue.

In 2015, Dan joined Flixmedia as the Global Brand Engagement Director, where they were responsible for business development and negotiating products into various brands' marketing and ecommerce strategies.

Following their tenure at Flixmedia, Dan worked at Philips as a Senior National Account Manager, leading the Amazon.co.uk sales and account management.

Prior to their current position, Dan held the role of Business Development Director - Enterprise at iAdvize - The Conversational Commerce Platform.

Currently, Dan is working at Profitero as the Senior Sales Director for EMEA & APAC, where they oversee sales activities and is responsible for driving growth in the regions.

Dan Smith attended Doncaster College from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a HNC in Mechanical & Production Engineering. Additionally, they were recognized as Rightmove's Quarterly Best Performer from 2006 to 2011 and won the prestigious Las Vegas Presidents Club from Rentokil Initial in 2006. Dan also holds a certification in Profitero, and they completed a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program at the Windsor School of Languages.
