Michael Russell

Michael Russell has been in the law enforcement and security industry for over 20 years. Michael began their career in 1997 as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Motorsport Accessories, Inc., where they managed the day-to-day marketing, sales and manufacturing of innovative licensed products. In 1999, they became a Patrol Officer and Reserve Patrol Officer for the Fife Police Department. In 2004, they joined the Lakewood Police Department as a Range Master and Training-Accreditation Coordinator. In this role, they managed and oversaw the Law Enforcement purchasing, inventory, records, and audits of the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives NFA controlled weapons systems, launchers, and Noise Flash Diversionary Devices (NFDD). Michael also secured a $25,000 grant for 30 Auto Electric Defibrillators. In 2010, they were assigned to the Washington State Patrol Task Force as a Police Detective and performed highly specialized investigations of missing and exploited children. In 2012, they became the President of the Washington State Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Association (WSLEFIA) and coordinated an annual conference for several hundred members. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as an Operational Surveillance Consultant for NEK Advanced Securities Group, Inc. and Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC). In 2021, they became the NW Regional Sales Manager and NW Regional Manager for ProForce Law Enforcement.

Michael Russell attended Green River Community College from 1998 to 1999, where they studied Criminal Justice. Michael then obtained an Associate's degree from ITT Technical Institute. Michael is currently attending Northwestern University, where they are studying Commercial Vehicle Collision Investigations and Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Collision Investigations.
