Peter Bascom

Peter Bascom has over 30 years of experience in software development, architecture, and standards. Peter served as the Chief Architect and Vice President of Software Development at Profound Medical Inc. since 2018. Prior to that, they were with eHealth Ontario from 2010 to 2018, where they held various roles including Chief Architect and Vice President of Architecture and Standards. Before joining eHealth Ontario, Peter worked at Merge Healthcare as the Senior Vice President of Engineering from 1997 to 2010. Peter also has research experience as a Research Associate at the University of Toronto from 1988 to 1999. In addition, they worked as a Consultant at El Mar Inc from 1988 to 1997.

Peter Bascom received their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto - New College in 1985. Peter went on to complete their Master of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Toronto, from 1985 to 1988. In 1989, Peter Bascom earned their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Biomedical Ultrasound from the University of Toronto.
