Neal K. Vail

Neal Vail, PhD, co-founded Progenerative Medical, Inc. in August 2016, serving as both Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, focusing on commercializing therapies for spine and orthopedic conditions through private investment. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Director of Advanced Research and Technology at KCI Medical, where responsibilities encompassed leading research on early-stage technologies, managing intellectual property, and overseeing partnerships. Vail also held the position of Manager for R&D at Southwest Research Institute, managing contract R&D in Biomedical Materials Engineering, and served as Senior Engineer at Biomedical Enterprises, Inc., leading efforts to develop synthetic bioceramics for skeletal repair. Additional experience includes post-doctoral research at Mercedes-Benz AG, with a focus on rapid prototyping, and technical staff roles at NEC America. Educational qualifications include a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master's in Leadership, and a BS in Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science from New Mexico State University.
