Vasileios Maroulas

Vasileios Maroulas is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as Associate Vice Chancellor and Professor of Mathematics at the University of Tennessee, where skills are also applied as a Joint Professor in Data Science and Engineering at the Bredesen Center and in Business Analytics and Statistics at the Haslam College of Business. In addition to a notable role as Assistant Vice Chancellor and Deputy Director of the AI TENNessee Initiative, Vasileios has contributed as Editor-in-Chief for the Foundations of Data Science at the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences and held positions on the Data Science Advisory Board for Prognos. Previous roles include Director of Data Science and AI at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis, Senior Research Fellow at the U.S. Army CCDC Army Research Laboratory, and a Leverhulme Trust Visiting Fellow at the University of Bath. Vasileios holds a PhD and a Master's in Statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor's in Applied Mathematics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
