David Mott

David Mott is a Senior Principal Consultant at Progress, where responsibilities include leading Information Science in client engagements, developing ontology models, and conducting training sessions. Prior experiences include roles as Lead Taxonomist at CEB, where Mott integrated over 70 taxonomies into an enterprise-wide system, and Director of Taxonomy Strategy, overseeing the maintenance of a multi-layered taxonomy. Mott's background also includes management of knowledge systems at Bridgewater Associates, strategic design at Gartner, and extensive research work at Consumers Union. Mott holds an MBA in Information Technology from NYU Stern School of Business, a Master of Library & Information Science from Long Island University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Purdue University.
