Derek Kiely

Derek Kiely has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Derek currently holds the position of Vice President of Product Management at Progress since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Engineering at Progress from November 2021 to December 2022.

Before joining Progress, Derek worked at Kemp from 2010 to 2021, where they held various roles including Vice President of Engineering from December 2017 to November 2021, Director of Global Support and Services from February 2015 to November 2017, Global Support Manager from February 2013 to January 2015, EMEA Support Team Lead from January 2012 to February 2013, and Support Engineer from October 2010 to December 2011.

Derek started their career as a Network Engineer at Strencom from September 2008 to October 2010, followed by a role as an IT Field Support Engineer at C-Cad Computing from November 2007 to August 2008. Derek also worked as a Software Engineer at IBM from April 2006 to November 2007 and as a Technical Support Analyst at CPL Solutions from October 2005 to April 2006.

Derek Kiely obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Networks & Software Development from Cork Institute of Technology, where they attended from 2001 to 2005.
