Alex Helvig

Alex Helvig has a strong background in analytics and data engineering. Alex currently holds the position of Principal Analytics Data Engineer at Progressive Leasing, where they are responsible for architecting and developing solutions in Microsoft Azure to support data exploration, analytics, and data science. Prior to this, they served as the Manager of Analytics Engineering and Senior Analytics Data Engineer at the same company. In these roles, they gained expertise in utilizing various technologies such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Databricks, SSIS, and Power BI to deliver business intelligence solutions. Before joining Progressive Leasing, Alex held positions at Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker and at Rainforest Plumbing & Air as an Account Representative. In these roles, they focused on building relationships with customers and maintaining business accounts. Overall, Alex has a diverse range of experiences in analytics, data engineering, and customer support.

Alex Helvig pursued their education starting in 2005 at Highland High School. After graduating, they enrolled in Maricopa Community Colleges from 2009 to 2012, where they completed a degree in General Studies. Later, from 2014 to 2017, Alex attended Utah Valley University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Systems.
