Nils Welin

Nils Welin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Nils started as a Business Analyst at Volvo Aero Corporation in 1993 and later worked as a Consultant at Carlson Group from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, they joined Candecent as the VP of Marketing. Welin then founded Cypress Private Security in 2001, where they served as CEO/Owner and transformed the company into a regional security company with 1,000 employees. Nils also held the position of President/Founder at Cypress Asset Recovery Services, LLC, which provided collection agency solutions to clients. Welin's leadership skills led him to become the Chairman of the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce, where they represented the local membership base and fostered business relationships between the Bay Area and Sweden. Nils later served as the Executive Director of SACC from 2003 to 2005. In 2015, Welin became the CEO of ProGuard Security Services, a premier provider of personalized security solutions. Additionally, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Silicon Vikings from 2016 to 2019.

Nils Welin has a strong education background, with degrees obtained from various universities. In 1988, they attended Lund University, where they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Finance in 1992. Later, in 1992, they briefly studied Marketing at Kiel University. Building upon their knowledge, Nils pursued further education at Pacific Lutheran University's School of Business. In 1998, they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a specialization in Information Technology.
