Chris E. Newton

Chris E. Newton has extensive experience in healthcare management and consulting, currently serving at ProHealth Physicians as part of OptumCare since June 2019. In addition to this role, Chris has been the Staff Organist at Valley Community Baptist Church since April 2011. Previous positions include Vice President of Health Services at Elim Park from 2012 to November 2018, and Administrative Officer Executive/Health Systems Specialist in Surgical Services at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2000 to 2012. Early experience includes an Administrative Fellowship at the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Healthcare Consultant role at Randolph County Health Department, and an Administrative Internship at Alexian Brothers Healthcare System. Chris began a career in public service as an intern in the Missouri Department of Social Services. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a degree in Organ and Church Music from William Jewell College.
