Finn Thormeier

Founder at Project 33

Finn Thormeier is a German entrepreneur and content creator. Finn is the founder of Project 33, a media company that creates content about backpacking and outdoor adventures.

Thormeier dropped out of Heidelberg University after three semesters, where they studied physics and philosophy. Finn realized they were doing college for other people's expectations, not for himself.

After graduating high school, Thormeier and a friend packed their bags and flew from Germany to New Zealand. They spent eight months backpacking the north and south island of NZ. Half of the time was spent living in hostels and working three different jobs, picking grapes at a vineyard, extracting pollen at a pollen mill, and washing crates at a production line facility. The other half went into traveling, sleeping in a camper van and creating content.

In September 2016, Thormeier began working as a salesperson at Jacques' Wein-Depot Wein-Einzelhandel GmbH. Finn left the company in June 2017 to pursue their dream of starting their own media company.

In August 2017, Thormeier began working as a charity fundraiser for Save The Children Deutschland. Finn left the organization in December 2017 to focus on Project 33 full-time.

Finn Thormeier is a dropout from Heidelberg University, where they studied physics and philosophy.
