Jerry Blanco

Jerry Blanco is currently the Chief Financial Officer at PROJECT AMISTAD, INC.

Jerry has over fifteen years of experience in business and finance. Jerry began their career as an Instructor at the University of Phoenix before moving on to become the Business Development Advisor at the Small Business Development Center. In this role, they provided counseling and guidance to clients regarding financial, marketing, organizational, and specialized business needs.

In 2010, Jerry became the Assistant Controller at MID-WEST TEXTILE COMPANY where they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's finances. Jerry helped lead the company through a period of growth and expansion, and played a key role in its successful transition to a publicly-traded company.

In 2015, Jerry was recruited to become the Chief Financial Officer at PROJECT AMISTAD, INC., a non-profit organization that provides support and resources to immigrants and refugees. Jerry has helped the organization navigate through some challenging financial times, and has been instrumental in its efforts to secure funding and grow its programs.

Jerry Blanco holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at El Paso. Jerry is also certified as a Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) from the FMA Institute - Fiscal Management Associates.

They work with Kristina Peña - Community Relations Manager, Claudia Tarango - Program Manager, Guardianship Program, and Mike Pacheco - Transportation Operations Coordinator. Their manager is Andrea Ramirez, CEO.
