Project Blue
Francesco Iacoviello is an experienced researcher in the fields of X-ray imaging, mineralogy, and supply chain analysis. Currently serving as the Experimental Manager at the EIL X-ray Imaging Facility at University College London since October 2014, Francesco has co-authored over 70 papers, focusing on mineralogical and chemical research alongside X-ray CT data interpretation. Francesco has held various research roles, including a UCL/ZEISS Research Associate in correlative imaging and X-ray microscopy, and is currently managing the NXCT facility, which provides access to lab-based X-ray computed tomography. Additionally, Francesco is a Research Analyst at Project Blue, concentrating on the gallium, tin, and semiconductor supply chains. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship in X-ray diffraction at the Universidade de São Paulo and a PhD in Earth Sciences, with a focus on Antarctic climatic changes, from Università degli Studi di Siena.
