Sarah McBroom

Director, Regional Engagement at Project Equity

Sarah McBroom has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Sarah currently works at Project Equity as the Director of Regional Engagement, a role they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they were the Senior Manager of Regional Engagement at the same company from December 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining Project Equity, Sarah worked at the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, where they served as the Equity Officer from January 2019 to December 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Associate from June 2016 to December 2018.

Sarah's career also includes roles at the Arkansas Economic Development Commission, where they were a Senior Project Manager of Business Development from July 2015 to June 2016, and a Project Manager from July 2010 to July 2015.

Sarah briefly worked at Green Valley Development as part of the Marketing & Strategic Planning team from January 2010 to May 2010.

Earlier in their career, Sarah interned as an MBA Intern at the Arkansas World Trade Center from August 2009 to December 2009.

Sarah began their professional journey as an Assistant Planner at Urban Planning Associates, Inc. from September 2007 to January 2009.

Throughout their various roles, Sarah has gained experience in regional engagement, equity, project management, business development, marketing, strategic planning, and urban planning.

Sarah McBroom earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Sarah then pursued a Joint Master of Public Service (MPS) / MBA degree from the Clinton School of Public Service and the University of Arkansas - Sam M. Walton College of Business, completing their studies from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they also attended the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute (OUEDI) for a graduate program. Prior to their university education, Sarah McBroom attended Little Rock Central High School.
