Helén Marton

Helén Marton has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Helén is currently working as a Community & Communications Manager at holi since September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Freelance Design & Sustainability professional from August 2021 to September 2022.

From November 2020 to August 2021, Helén Marton worked at Demos Helsinki as a Consultant and Co-creation & Engagement lead. Helén also held the position of Project Coordinator & Consultant from January 2020 to November 2020 and worked as a Freelance Consultant from November 2019 to December 2019 at the same company.

Helén served as a Board Member & Treasurer at Systems Change Finland from September 2020 to December 2020.

In 2019, Helén Marton had multiple roles. Helén worked as a Teacher Assistant at Aalto University from September 2019 to December 2019, where they were responsible for developing assignments and grading criteria for the Human-Computer Interaction course.

Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at Aalto University from November 2018 to January 2019 and May 2017 to January 2019. Their tasks included translating scientific research material into accessible content, copywriting and editing, and managing web content.

Helén Marton also had brief experience as an Innovation Lab Talent at UNLEASH - Innovation lab for SDGs in August 2017.

Their earliest work experience was as Lead Designer at Studio Jaywall from April 2015 to July 2016, where they developed visual identities, branding strategies, and managed projects with a social impact focus.

Helén Marton's education history includes a Master of Arts degree in Creative Sustainability from Aalto University, which they pursued from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they completed a five-year Bachelor of Design program in Graphic Design from York University/Sheridan College, with an Honors designation. Helén was enrolled in this program from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, in 2011-2012, Helén Marton participated in an Undergraduate Exchange program at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, where they focused on Graphic Design.

In terms of certifications, Helén Marton completed the "Social Entrepreneurship" course from Copenhagen Business School through Coursera Verified Certificates in December 2014. Furthermore, in October 2014, they obtained a certification for completing the "Design Kit: The Course for Human-Centered Design" from NovoEd.
