Denise Garlow is a skilled professional with extensive experience in fund development, communications, and marketing. Currently serving as a Fund Development Specialist at Project Home, Inc. since October 2022, Denise has focused on donor relations, grant management, and funding support for affordable housing programs. Previously, Denise held the position of Development Specialist at Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County, where efforts centered on volunteer and donor engagement for key fundraising events. Denise's background also includes roles as a University Relations Specialist at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, Marketing Manager at Trinity Health, and Communications Manager at International Hewlett Packard Computing Professionals. Denise began a career in design as Lead Designer at ServiStar Corporation. Denise earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Design from La Roche University. Additionally, Denise is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and serves on the board for Community Shares of Wisconsin.

The mission of the Project HOME community is to empower adults, children, and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment where we support each other in our struggles for self-esteem, recovery, and the confidence to move toward self-actualization.
