James Buck

Humanitarian Photographer at Project HOPE

James Buck is an experienced humanitarian photographer and multimedia journalist with a diverse portfolio spanning several roles since 2010. Currently serving as a contract photographer for Project HOPE, James captures global health initiatives across multiple continents, including Covid relief efforts. As a multimedia journalist for Seven Days, James produces a weekly video series and engages in freelance photography for local news and educational institutions. James also contributes as an adjunct professor at St. Michael's College and Champlain College, teaching courses in multimedia reporting and HTML/CSS. In addition, James has held managerial roles at PBS for online journalism training and has worked as a photographer for various media outlets and humanitarian organizations, including the Syrian American Medical Society. James holds multiple degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and Colgate University, specializing in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Photojournalism, and French Language and Literature.
