Michelle Gassama came to Project Hospitality in 2013 and is currently the Deputy Director of Planning and Evaluation. In this role, she is responsible for overall data management and quality improvement activities across Project Hospitality’s wide continuum of care.
Prior to this, Michelle served as the Training, Data and Development Manager at Montefiore Medical Center’s Adolescent AIDS Program overseeing all community research initiatives, community outreach, training, data, and quality management. Michelle’s career in community health began when she served as a Health Extension Volunteer for the U.S. Peace Corps in The Gambia, West Africa. Her work included providing HIV/AIDS education to youth through sporting and peer leadership models and working with local clinics and hospitals on records and data management.
Michelle received her Master’s degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dartmouth College.
