Michał Krassowski

Michał Krassowski is a prominent software engineer and researcher with extensive experience in the Jupyter ecosystem. Currently serving as a Governing Board Member and Software Steering Council Member at Project Jupyter since 2021, Michał contributes significantly to JupyterLab development using TypeScript, Python, and React. After a tenure at Quansight focusing on Jupyter ecosystem development, Michał transitioned to OpenTeams in May 2025 following an acquisition. Academically, Michał has pursued advanced studies at the University of Oxford, culminating in a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on integrating various omics data to explore endometriosis and bladder pain syndrome. Previous educational credentials include a Master's degree from Imperial College London and a Licencjat in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from the University of Warsaw.
