Project Kitty Hawk
Heather Sternshein is an accomplished program director with extensive experience in education and instructional development. Currently serving as Program Director for STEM at Project Kitty Hawk, Inc., a nonprofit ed-tech startup, Sternshein contributes to advancing online education services for adult learners in the UNC System. Prior to this role, Sternshein worked at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School as Senior Associate Director for MBA@UNC, managing faculty relations and curriculum development. Sternshein's previous experience includes leadership positions at HarvardX and Boundless, where responsibilities involved instructional development and creating educational resources. Sternshein holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Brandeis University and a BA in Biology and Psychology from Swarthmore College.

Founded in 2022, we are funded by a $97 million grant from the North Carolina General Assembly. We are dedicated to fostering a collaborative environment, committed to providing the highest level of service to North Carolina.
