Shounak Ray Chaudhuri (EC)

President at Project NexTech

Shounak Ray Chaudhuri is the Founder and President of Project NexTech, leading a nonprofit organization focused on providing volunteer-powered, free STEM education for students since May 2023. In addition to this role, Shounak serves as a Student Intern at SDSU College of Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and as an independent Project Intern in both the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at UC San Diego. As of November 2023, Shounak also holds dual positions as Director of Curriculum and Programs and Operations Director for the International Research Olympiad, facilitating scientific research opportunities for students worldwide. Further involvement includes serving as Logistics Lead for the Student Association for STEM Advocacy in California (SASACA) and a brief internship at the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Shounak is currently pursuing education at Francis Parker School and San Diego City College, with a focus on STEM.
