Brian J. Von Herbulis serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Strategic Initiatives at Higher Ground, a national non-profit focused on enhancing quality of life for military veterans, first responders, and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, Brian is a Stand-To VLP Scholar at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, and a Team Member at Project Recover, which seeks to locate and repatriate missing American service members. Previously, Brian held the position of Chief Programs Officer at The COMMIT Foundation, and was the Founder/Owner of Ultra Solutions, Inc., which offered consulting and leadership coaching services. Brian also has experience as Director at Mission43, Adjunct Professor at Boise State University, Consultant for Team Rubicon USA, and Technical Consultant for the NBC series The Blacklist: Redemption. Educational credentials include a bachelor's degree from Hampden-Sydney College, an Executive MBA from Boise State University, and various leadership coaching certifications.

Project Recover’s vision is: (i) to repatriate every American service member who has not come home through research, searches, recoveries and other methodologies; (ii) to provide information and closure to the families of service members; (iii) to provide a platform to educate the public on the importance of service to one’s country; and (iv) to provide unique educational opportunities in the areas of science, technology, history, leadership, public service and diplomacy to a committed student audience, in conjunction with Project Recover’s mission, in order to provide a real world application to students and further educate the public.
