Eddy Hansen

Team Member at Project Recover

Eddy Hansen serves as the Director of Advanced Sensors at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, overseeing advanced technologies in the unmanned aircraft and high-resolution surveillance sector since July 2017. In addition, Eddy is a team member at Project Recover, focusing on utilizing science and technology to locate and repatriate missing military personnel from World War II. Eddy holds a significant role on the Board of Directors for Be Involved * Act Now * Champion Autism, Inc., and previously contributed to the Strategic Alliance for Veteran Integration as a board member. Furthermore, Eddy has experience as an advisor for the technology startup OneBox. Eddy's military background includes leadership positions in the US Marine Corps, culminating in over two decades of service as an executive officer, pilot, and director in various capacities. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the University of Michigan, a BA in Political Science from the University of Minnesota, and ongoing certification in Project Management from Syracuse University.

Project Recover’s vision is: (i) to repatriate every American service member who has not come home through research, searches, recoveries and other methodologies; (ii) to provide information and closure to the families of service members; (iii) to provide a platform to educate the public on the importance of service to one’s country; and (iv) to provide unique educational opportunities in the areas of science, technology, history, leadership, public service and diplomacy to a committed student audience, in conjunction with Project Recover’s mission, in order to provide a real world application to students and further educate the public.
