Project Recover
Hanna Friedlander is a forensic anthropologist with extensive experience in identifying human remains and supporting law enforcement investigations. Since October 2018, Hanna has worked with the Michigan State Police as a Departmental Specialist 13, providing case support for unidentified human remains. In addition, Hanna is involved with Project Recover and Kenyon International Emergency Services, focusing on search and recovery efforts for missing individuals and human remains from World War II. Previous roles include assisting the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with missing persons cases and various academic positions at the University of Alberta, which involved teaching and conference organization. Hanna holds a Master's degree in Physical Anthropology and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Genetic Genealogy.

Project Recover
Project Recover’s vision is: (i) to repatriate every American service member who has not come home through research, searches, recoveries and other methodologies; (ii) to provide information and closure to the families of service members; (iii) to provide a platform to educate the public on the importance of service to one’s country; and (iv) to provide unique educational opportunities in the areas of science, technology, history, leadership, public service and diplomacy to a committed student audience, in conjunction with Project Recover’s mission, in order to provide a real world application to students and further educate the public.
