Robert Richards

Team Member at Project Recover

Robert Richards is an experienced educator and coach with a career spanning over two decades at Stockbridge Community Schools, where roles include Agriculture Teacher, FFA Advisor, and Business and Technology Teacher. Notably, Robert developed an internationally recognized underwater robotics curriculum and has led expeditions to Palau to locate missing American airmen from World War II. As a Team Member with Project Recover, Robert contributes to efforts aimed at identifying American POWs and MIAs through research and coordinated searches. Additionally, Robert served as President of the Stockbridge Education Association, focusing on labor relations and contract negotiation, and completed a 20-year tenure in the Army National Guard as a Medical Department Recruiter. Project Recover’s vision is: (i) to repatriate every American service member who has not come home through research, searches, recoveries and other methodologies; (ii) to provide information and closure to the families of service members; (iii) to provide a platform to educate the public on the importance of service to one’s country; and (iv) to provide unique educational opportunities in the areas of science, technology, history, leadership, public service and diplomacy to a committed student audience, in conjunction with Project Recover’s mission, in order to provide a real world application to students and further educate the public.
