Emily Ye

President, Co-founder, Co-chapter Leader at Project Sunshine

Emily Ye has a range of work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2017, they worked as a Leadership Intern at the National Inventors Hall of Fame. In 2018, they interned as a Hospital Intern at Qingdao West Coast New Area Central Hospital through the AACC Shadow in China program. In 2020, they served as a BRAINtern at Lennox Hill Neurosurgery through Northwell Health. Emily was also involved in Project Sunshine, where they held roles as President, Co-Founder, and Co-Chapter Leader, organizing pediatric-focused volunteering events. Currently, they are an MD Candidate at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Emily Ye began their education at Green Hope High School from 2014 to 2018. Emily then attended North Carolina State University from 2018 to 2022, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, Spanish, and Chinese Studies. In 2014, Emily obtained the Microsoft Office Specialist: Microsoft Office 2013 certification. Additionally, in 2020, they acquired the NC State University Liquid Nitrogen Certification. Subsequently, Emily attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine from 2023 to 2027, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
