Taylor Harris

Program Director at PROJECT TRANSITION

Taylor Harris has extensive work experience in various roles related to education and behavioral management. They began their career as Assistant Principal of Student and Family Services at Community Education Partners from 2004 to 2006, where they provided leadership and supervision to multiple departments. From 2006 to 2010, they served as the Manager of Non-Instructional School Services at The School District of Philadelphia, managing behavior components of school operations and supervising non-instructional staff. They then joined Wordsworth Academy as the Group Living Director from 2010 to 2011, where they managed residential program operations and implemented behavior modification tools for emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth.

Taylor's next role was Dean of Students at Mastery Charter Schools from 2012 to 2016, where they maintained high attendance rates, decreased incidents and class disruptions, and implemented successful restorative practices. They then transitioned to The School District of Philadelphia as a Climate Manager from 2016 to 2019, facilitating meetings between stakeholders and leading the design and implementation of restorative and mediation processes.

In 2019, Taylor became the Senior Director of Residential Programs at Gemma Services, responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple departments. They later assumed the role of Senior Director of Residential Services, where they oversaw program services, ensured census growth, and managed budgets. In 2020, they became the Program Director at Project Transition, a role they currently hold. Finally, in 2022, Taylor joined Hope Partnership for Education as the Head of School.

Taylor Harris obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Cheyney University of Pennsylvania in 1998. Starting in 2001 and ending in 2003, Taylor also pursued two master's degrees at the same university. The first one was a Master of Science in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching, and the second was a Master of Education in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration.
