At the beginning of their career, Vanessa worked at Receivables Management Group as a Call Centre Team Leader from 2001 to 2002 and as an Account Manager from 1999 to 2001.

With their extensive experience in strategy, planning, finance, and leadership, Vanessa Guez AAICD CPA has developed a well-rounded professional background in the insurance industry.

Vanessa Guez completed their education with a Diploma in Marketing Management from TAFE NSW (2001-2003), a Bachelor's degree in Business & Commerce from Monash University (2004-2007), a Masters degree in Business Management from the University of Wollongong (2008-2011), and obtained the certification of Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia (2011-2013). Vanessa is also currently pursuing an Associate position at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, which they are expected to obtain in 2023.

Project Youth

Project Youth, established over 30 years ago, is a Non-Government, not for profit organisation based in Southern Sydney, providing support and assistance to young people who are homeless or facing disadvantage. Project Youth's vision is to create a future where all young people can thrive regardless of the disadvantage they face. To do this Project Youth provide trauma-informed support for young people aged 12-24 who have complex needs, are at risk, come from disadvantaged backgrounds and would not be able to fulfil their potential without additional support. Our work is in three main areas: 1. Homelessness and Housing: Accommodating young people in crisis and supports transition into independent living or returning to their family home 2. Early Intervention: Intervening early to reduce and stop escalation of issues 3. Education, Employment and Training: Providing pathways to employment and education through our 2 social enterprises, Cafe Y and Labour Y Project Youth is a Public Benevolent Institution and Deductible Gift Recipient which means that donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
