Alan Kofsky

VP, Sales & Marketing at Prolacta Bioscience

Alan Kofsky has had a long and successful career in sales and marketing. Alan began their career in 1987 as a Territory Manager for Mead Johnson Nutritionals, where they were responsible for the sales of infant nutritionals, vaccines, and vitamins. In 1989, they joined Baxter BioScience as a Group Marketing Manager, where they were promoted every 2-3 years and was awarded additional responsibilities. Alan was responsible for the global launch of a blood product and worked closely with the VP of Sales to launch the company's new BioSurgery business. In 2002, they took on the role of Region Business Director at Baxter Healthcare, where they led a newly created sales team and sold biologics to immunologists, infectious disease, neurologists, pulmonologists, and oncologists. In 2004, they were asked by the Chairman to take on the role of VP Sales at Whatman, where they managed North American sales and customer service for three business units that were missing sales targets and led a 54-member team to generate $95 million in annual revenue. In 2006, they were recruited by a start-up company, Artes Medical, to build a Northeast team for the launch of a pioneering injectable implant product for aesthetics. Alan hired and managed 8 Territory Business Managers who achieved over $2.2 million in revenue. In 2008, they took on the role of Marketing Consultant at Cerus, where they were hired to improve disappointing European sales of a new pathogen inactivation product and lead the European launch. Alan also lead the regional marketing organization and served on the executive leadership team. Finally, in 2009, they became the VP Sales and Marketing at Prolacta Bioscience, where they were responsible for the overall development, coordination, functional management, and leadership of all of the sales and marketing activities. Under their leadership, the company achieved 155% growth in 2010 and 110% in 2011.

Alan Kofsky obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University between 1981 and 1985. Alan then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Adelphi University between 1989 and 1992.
