Chris Van Gorder

Chris Van Gorder, MPA, FACHE, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Scripps Health and has authored the book "The Front-Line Leader - Building a High Performance Organization From the Ground Up." Currently serving as a Guest Lecturer at the San Diego County Regional Leadership Institute and at the University of Southern California Price School of Public Policy, Chris has held various leadership positions in healthcare, including CEO roles at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Anaheim Memorial Medical Center. With extensive experience on multiple boards, including Abiomed and Prolacta Bioscience, Chris also honorably retired after two decades of service as a Reserve Assistant Sheriff with the San Diego Sheriff's Department.
