Process Engineer at Prolacta Bioscience

Janice Miguel has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field. From 2011 to 2014, they were an AVID tutor at Lancaster High School. In 2014, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Cal Poly Pomona, where they investigated and characterized the corrosion behavior of boron containing titanium alloys for the use of orthopedic implants. The same year, they also participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduates at the University of North Dakota, researching the characterization of aerosol particles from diesel engine emissions. In 2015, they were an Engineering Intern at Ready Pac Foods, Inc., where they performed oxygen analysis tests on salad bistro bowls and designed and implemented a new lettuce drying procedure. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as an Engineer at Biosense Webster. Currently, they are a Process Engineer at Prolacta Bioscience.

Janice Miguel attended Antelope Valley College from 2011 to 2013, where they earned an Associate's degree in Mathematics. Janice then went on to California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering from 2013 to 2016.
