Dominik Fünkner

Co-Founder & Geschäftsführer at Proliance

Dominik Fünkner's work experience begins in 2008 with internships at Deutsche Bank and Robert Bosch. In 2010, they worked as an intern consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants. From 2012, they worked as a consultant at Stern Stewart & Co. In 2013, they joined goetzpartners as a senior consultant and worked there until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a senior manager at mutares AG. In 2018, they co-founded Proliance and datenschutzexperte.de, where they currently serve as Co-Founder and Geschäftsführer, focusing on privacy management solutions and making data protection accessible for businesses.

Dominik Fünkner began their education by earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim. Dominik attended the university from 2006 to 2009. In 2008, Dominik participated in an exchange semester at the Singapore Management University, where they focused on Finance, Strategy, and Mandarin.

Continuing their education, Dominik pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Management at the University of Mannheim from 2009 to 2011. During their master's program, they also had the opportunity to spend an exchange semester at Tongji University in 2010-2011, where they studied Finance, Marketing, and Mandarin.

In addition to their formal education, Dominik Fünkner has obtained several certifications which further enhance their professional qualifications. In 2016, they became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder through the CFA Institute. In 2018, Dominik obtained certification as an External Data Protection Officer from DEKRA Certification GmbH. Dominik further expanded their expertise in data protection by obtaining the same certification from TÜV NORD GROUP in 2019.
