Nathan Seltzer

Senior Data Scientist

Nathan Seltzer, PhD, is a National Institute on Aging T32 Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Demography at the University of California, Berkeley. They received their PhD in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in April 2020, where they trained as a demographer at the Center for Demography and Ecology. Their research focuses on how economic change influences social and demographic processes, with publications in journals such as Demography and Population & Environment. Seltzer's work has received support from various prestigious institutions, including the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the Social Security Administration. They also hold a B.A. in Sociology and French from Tulane University and an M.A. in Applied Quantitative Research from New York University.
