Marla Weston

Marla Weston, PhD, RN, FAAN, is a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience in nursing administration and consulting. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Weston Consulting, LLC since January 2018 and as a Senior Advisor for the Nursing Experience Project at Practicing Excellence since October 2021, Marla has demonstrated a profound commitment to improving nursing practice and workforce development. Previously, Marla held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the American Nurses Association from 2009 to 2018 and served in various roles within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, including Deputy Chief Officer and Program Director. Marla's earlier career includes leadership as Executive Director of the Arizona Nurses Association and Acute Care Administrator/CNO at Paradise Valley Hospital. Marla earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Registered Nursing from the University of Arizona.
