José Fafián is an Industrial Technical Engineer from the University of Vigo. He began his professional career as an Organization Engineer in Brazil. He joined Pescanova in 1972, where he performs different responsibilities in different areas, among which are the Chief of Delegations, Director of Distribution, Managing Director of the companies Frigodis SA and Frivipesca Chapela SA and Administrator of Novaoceano, among others. At Nueva Pescanova, between 2015 and 2016, he was Head of Factory Business in Spain, Ireland and Peru. Since 2016 he has been Director of Industrial Transformation and a member of the company's executive committee.

Promarisco S.A. involves in the production of shrimp, in all stages, from the naupli, to the production of feed use in their shrimp farms. Then it process the shrimp in its plant, and exports to all over the world. It sells raw shrimp either in headon or headless presentation, and also valued added products.
