Bugra Yilmaz

Bugra Yilmaz has a diverse work experience in the field of machine learning and software engineering. Bugra worked as an MLOps Engineer at Promaton starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Machine Learning Engineer at Xomnia from June 2021 to November 2022, where they focused on bringing machine learning models to production and automating model training and inference pipelines. Before that, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at M47 Labs from October 2020 to June 2021 on a fixed-term project for a major client, developing NLP and speech recognition components specific to local languages. Bugra also has experience as a Software Engineer at Peak from May 2019 to October 2020, where they worked on speech recognition systems and cloud development using AWS and Google Cloud. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at Pointr : The Deep Location Company from June 2018 to May 2019, focusing on IoT-based indoor location systems and real-time prediction of indoor customer flows. Bugra started their career as an Engineering Intern at Turkcell in 2017.

Bugra Yilmaz received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University from 2014 to 2018. In addition, they completed a one-year exchange program at Brno University of Technology in the same field from 2016 to 2017. Prior to their university education, Bugra attended Galatasaray Lisesi from 2009 to 2014 where they focused on Math & Science subjects. Bugra has also obtained several certifications including "Optimizing Apache Spark on Databricks" from Databricks in July 2022, "Nederlands A2" from the Language & Training Centre (Erasmus University Rotterdam) in April 2022, "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2022, and "Nederlands A1" from the Language & Training Centre (Erasmus University Rotterdam) in December 2021. Bugra has also completed various courses and certifications related to programming, data analysis, and machine learning from institutions such as DeepLearning.AI, EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), Harvard University, Duke University, and Udemy. Additionally, Bugra holds a certification as a 2-star Scuba Diver from CMAS - World Underwater Federation, which they obtained in April 2016.
