Roel Hendrikx

Roel Hendrikx has extensive experience in product management and innovation. Roel is currently working as a Group Product Manager at Promaton since February 2022. Prior to their current role, they served as a Senior Product Manager at Promaton from January 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining Promaton, Roel worked at GeoPhy, a proptech and fintech start-up, as a Senior Product Manager from November 2019 to January 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading cross-functional teams and delivering AI-powered valuation solutions for financial institutions. Roel successfully launched various products, including a sales comps machine learning model, a valuation model for multifamily properties, a crime map, and automated data sources with Airflow.

Roel also gained experience at PharmaPartners Healthcare, where they worked as a Product Manager Innovation from January 2015 to October 2019. Roel played a crucial role in planning and developing strategic innovations, including portfolio strategy, innovation funnel, and roadmapping.

Prior to that, Roel worked at Capgemini as a Senior Digital Customer Experience Consultant from September 2010 to December 2014. Roel also held roles at ING as a Product Owner from November 2013 to September 2014, ABN AMRO Bank N.V. as a User Experience Consultant from December 2011 to December 2012, and Philips as a Product Owner from November 2010 to November 2011.

Roel's career began at Philips Research, where they worked as an MSc graduate student from March 2009 to December 2009. Roel conducted user research, generated new product concepts, and evaluated prototypes. Roel also holds a BE graduate degree from the University of New South Wales, where they studied from January 2006 to August 2006.

Roel Hendrikx's education history includes a diverse range of studies in the field of technology and management. In 2007, they began their education at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human-Technology Interaction, completing it in 2010. Roel then attended Delft University of Technology in 2009, enrolling in the same Master of Science (MSc) program, but this time focusing on Human-Computer Interaction and completing it in the same year. In 2008, Roel was a visiting research scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. Roel further enhanced their knowledge in 2011-2012 by obtaining certification as a Certified Usability Engineer from Human Factors International. In 2014, they attended Utrecht University, where they pursued further studies in Software Product Management.

Roel Hendrikx also holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their academic degrees, Roel Hendrikx has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These include certifications in areas such as Leading People & Teams, Deep Learning, Entrepreneurship, Analytics, Competitive Strategy, Executive Data Science, Innovation Management, and Machine Learning. Roel also completed the AI Product Manager Nanodegree Program from Udacity. Furthermore, Roel holds certifications in Software Product Management from the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) and as a Usability Engineer from Human Factors International.
