Laura Rod serves as Co-Présidente of Slow Food since May 2022, contributing to the global movement supporting local food cultures and traditions. With over six years of experience at Hotel & Gastro formation Suisse - Romandie as a member of the federal commission for cooking development and quality, and as a part-time cooking instructor, Laura also founded ben ouais. sàrl in February 2022 to emphasize the importance of culinary passion. Laura holds the position of President of the Lavaux-Oron section of GastroSuisse since January 2018 and has been involved with Prométerre as a cooking and nutrition instructor. Previous roles include Principal Chief Executive Officer of Restaurant O'Centre du goût and owner of lauraworld, where culinary experiences were created for clients from 2007 to 2022. Laura also has a background in finance as an officer for Gastrovaud and has directed Hôtel la Marmite and served as Sales & Marketing Director for Minotel International. Educational qualifications include a federal diploma in culinary arts and advanced certifications in hospitality management from prestigious institutions.

Association vaudoise de promotion des métiers de la terre et Chambre d'agriculture du canton de Vaud, Prométerre regroupe l’ensemble des exploitations agricoles et vitivinicoles vaudoises ainsi que les organisations professionnelles cantonales. Elle offre des services et des conseils (conseil d'entreprise, expertises financières, comptabilité, fiscalité, révision de comptes, estimations, prêts hypothécaires, mise en valeur des produits du terroir), propose des assurances (assurances sociales, de protection juridique, prévoyance professionnelle, caisse de compensation AVS, assurances dommages), remplit des mandats publics (crédit agricole, Commissions foncière et d'affermage du canton de Vaud, vulgarisation) et réalise de nombreux projets de défense professionnelle (études prospectives, conduite de projets, communication et relations publiques). Prométerre est l’interface entre l’agriculture et les autres milieux, dans l’optique de défendre les intérêts de ses membres à court et à long terme.
