Wil V. Srubar III, PhD has a wealth of experience in the fields of engineering and academia. Wil V. began their career in 2006 as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. In 2008, they became a Graduate Structural Engineer at Walter P Moore. Wil V. then moved on to ALPHA Facilities Solutions, LLC in 2009, where they worked as an Associate Consultant and Project Engineer. Also in 2009, they began working as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Stanford University. In 2013, they became the Principal Investigator at the Living Materials Laboratory. Wil V. then moved on to the University of Colorado Boulder, where they worked as an Assistant Professor and then an Associate Professor from 2013 until 2021. In 2018, they began their role as Director of Advanced Cement & Concrete Materials at KATERRA. In 2020, they Co-Founded Aureus Earth, and in 2021 they Co-Founded Minus Materials, where they serve as both the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a Chief Technology Advisor at Prometheus Materials.
Wil V. Srubar III, PhD, received their Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2006. Wil V. then went on to The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned their Master of Science in Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering in 2008. Finally, they completed their PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University in 2013.
