Roel Pasetes

Roel Pasetes has extensive work experience in software engineering, devops, and management roles. Roel is currently working at Prominent Edge as a Sr. Software and Devops Engineer and Engineering Manager. Prior to that, they founded Nifty Campaigns in 2014. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as the VP of Technology at ProveIt!.

Before that, Roel worked at Cisco Systems, Inc. from 2005 to 2017. Roel served as a Senior Software Engineer and DevOps, leading the software development of Cisco Spark Call's Event Management and Monitoring infrastructure. Roel also worked as a senior engineer in the Spark Call Data Team, focusing on continuous delivery and automation of infrastructure and services. Additionally, they had various software engineering responsibilities, including designing flexible adapters for Cisco's HCS offering.

Roel also had entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Social Shots Photo Booth from 2011 to 2015, where they built and managed the business. Prior to that, they worked at dynamicsoft in various roles, including project lead, software engineer, system integration, and quality assurance. During their tenure, they led a global team and served as the chief architect for SIP and Provisioning tools.

Roel Pasetes has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Rutgers University. Roel also holds a Master of Software Engineering degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2007. Roel also has a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
