Alexander Wimmer

SVP Sales EMEA & India at Promon

Alexander Wimmer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Alexander began their career as a Sales Manager at debis Systemhaus Gmbh in 1991 and held this role until 1999. During this time, they developed strong sales skills and built a foundation in the industry. Following this, they joined StorageTek as a Strategic Account Manager, where they successfully managed key accounts from 1999 to 2003.

In 2003, Alexander moved to Sony Europe as a Senior European Sales Manager, a role in which they demonstrated their ability to lead and manage sales operations across multiple European markets. Alexander stayed with Sony Europe until 2007.

From 2007 to 2010, Alexander served as a Global Account Director at EMC, where they excelled in establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with global clients. Subsequently, they joined Symantec as a Global Account Manager, further expanding their expertise in managing global accounts.

In 2012, Alexander joined Palo Alto Networks as part of their sales team, contributing to the company's growth and success until 2015. Alexander then transitioned to Good Powered by BlackBerry as a Senior Enterprise Account Manager, where they continued to leverage their account management expertise.

In 2016, Alexander joined BlueCat as a Senior Enterprise Account Executive, using their sales acumen to drive revenue growth in the enterprise market. Alexander then moved to Arxan Technologies in 2017, assuming the role of Director Sales CEE/ME and successfully leading sales operations in Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Most recently, Alexander Wimmer joined Promon as the SVP Sales EMEA & India in 2020, where they are responsible for leading and executing sales strategies in these regions.

Throughout their career, Alexander has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive sales, manage key accounts, and build strong relationships with clients. Their vast experience and expertise in sales and business development make him a valuable asset to any organization.

Alexander Wimmer pursued their education from 1990 to 1992 at the Akademie für Datenverarbeitung. During this time, they completed a Master's degree in Information technologies and economics.
