Espen Nilsen

Research Development Software Engineer at Promon

Espen Nilsen started their work experience in 2006 as a Service Technician at ANOVO Norge, where they were responsible for repairing electronics in the Videocom and Telecom fields. Espen worked on a range of products including satellite tuners from various brands and Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile phones. In 2011, they joined Bytesize AS as a Software Developer until 2014. At the University of Oslo, they served as a Student Assistant in 2017. From 2012 to 2013, they also worked as a Student Assistant at Høgskolen i Buskerud og Vestfold (HBV). In 2020, they became a Research Development Software Engineer at Appear, and they currently work as a Software Engineer at Promon, starting in 2023.

Espen Nilsen began their education at Rud VGS in 2004, where they studied electronics without obtaining a degree. After completing this program, they attended Skedsmo VGS from 2006 to 2007, where they obtained a degree in Electronics Technician, specializing in Electronics Repair and Software Design.

In 2009, Espen earned a certification in Service Electronics from Prøvenemnda - Akershus Fylkeskommune Fagopplæringen. Later that year, they attended the University of South-Eastern Norway for one year, where they completed a preparatory course for engineering studies.

Espen continued their education at the University of South-Eastern Norway from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Cybernetics and Mechatronics.

Lastly, Espen attended the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2015 to 2018, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Microelectronics.
