Pronatura Noroeste A. C. is the regional representation of Pronatura, the oldest and largest conservation organization in Mexico. Our mandate covers the ecoregions of the Baja California Peninsula, Sonora, Sinaloa and Nayarit, the western portions of Chihuahua and Durango along the Sierra Madre Occidental, the coasts of Jalisco and Colima, the Gulf of California and its islands, and the Exclusive Economic Zone of Mexico in the Pacific Ocean, corresponding to the aforementioned states.

The Conservation Team at PRONATURA NOROESTE, A.C. is dedicated to preserving the natural environments and biodiversity within the regional ecoregions. Team members focus on educating the public on conservation efforts, directing conservation strategies, conducting fishery science research, protecting land and wildlife habitats, and specifically conserving bird populations to ensure a balanced and thriving ecosystem.
