Patrick Geirnaert is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in management and teaching. Currently serving as the Locatieleider PROO Leimundo AZC and Coördinator Internationalisering at PROOLeiden-Leiderdorp since February 2011, Patrick has held multiple roles including project leader for new buildings and director ad interim. Additionally, Patrick coordinates the International Taalklassen in the Leiden region. Previous experience includes ownership and management at A+ Translations and positions in business travel and customer service within the travel industry. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and has completed further education in leadership and movement education.

De Stichting Openbaar Primair en Speciaal Onderwijs Leiden Leiderdorp, kortweg PROO, vormt het bestuur van twintig openbare basisscholen: achttien reguliere scholen en twee scholen voor speciaal onderwijs. Met circa 5.000 leerlingen en bijna 540 medewerkers is de organisatie de grootste werkgever voor primair onderwijs in Leiden/Leiderdorp.
