Craig Markus has extensive work experience in the advertising industry, starting with their role as a Senior Art Director at Ogilvy and Mather from 1991 to 1995. Craig then worked as an Associate Creative Director at DMB&B in 1995 before joining Deutsch Inc. as a Group Creative Director from 1996 to 2000. At Deutsch Inc., they handled accounts for Snapple, FootLocker, Tommy Hilfiger, Tanqueray, BankOne, and Zyrtec. Following that, they co-founded Tag Ideation in 2003, where they served as Founder and Creative Director until 2008. During their time at Tag Ideation, they launched Xbox and produced campaigns for Rolling Rock, Bass, LaBatt Blue, and Verizon. Craig later worked at McCann Erickson as an Executive Creative Director from 2000 to 2012, overseeing accounts for the US Army, Xbox, MasterCard, Coca-Cola, Nestle, InBev, Microsoft, and Kohl's. From 2015 to 2020, they served as SVP/Executive Creative Director at Cramer-Krasselt, where they led the work for the NY office and won accounts for Nikon, NYRR, and Cross. In 2020, they held the position of Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Craig then joined Rage, Grace & Partners as Founder and Creative Director in 2012 and currently serves as the Chief Creative Officer at Proof Advertising since December 2020. In addition, they have a personal creative director website called @craigmarkuscreative.
Craig Markus started their education in 1982 at UCLA, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Communications. Craig completed their studies in 1986. Following this, from 1988 to 1991, they attended the ArtCenter College of Design, earning a Bachelor's degree in Advertising Design. In 2008, Craig enrolled in the Steinbeis Hochschule, where they obtained an EMBA degree in Creative Leadership in 2009.
